alex plode Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Did you notice the Liverpool fans throwing socks onto the pitch? I have just had it explained what that was all about. Everton are thinking off moving to a new stadium in Kirby which is just outside the City boundary. It was so poor there in the 60's and 70's that people allegedly stole even odd socks from people's washing lines. So there are chants of 'Sock theives' accompanied with the sock throwing.
