Didn't see a thread for it. Which I was suprised at to be honest.

Been a good game, lots of energy and atmosphere sounds quality as expected.

Glad to see sunderland have took the lead hope they stuff the geordies.

Both of them are diddy teams, but as an appetiser for the main course (Chelsea FC) it's quite enjoyable.

Delighted to see the bar codes are losing. They are the Hobos of the EPL and I'd be delighted to see them relegated.

Aye,tis not a bad game at all.

Could do with Sunderland conceding 6 goals to get CG back between the sticks though....Appearance monies due then ;)

There's a bit in the Express today.

The manager reckons he could be back for the cup game.

Thought he was still injured. Niggling injury, think it was his leg?

How **** is Sunderland's away following these days? They used to be great lads when Keane brought them up. Now you hear them singing plagiarised versions of Viva Ronaldo and the John O'Shea songs while acting like they've been singing it for years :mw_rolleyes: Just like Celtic and the Scouse.

Typical newcastle. It was the only way they look liked scoring. Very fortunate to even get the penalty. Didn't look like one imo.

Carl Spackler

What's that ref's name? He's a ******!

A booking that wasn't to Sunderland (shocking Newcastle dive) and a terrible penalty decision.

Great penalty.

Strange decision from the ref though. I didn't think it was a dive but I didn't think it was a penalty either. The Sunderland player seemed to lose balance and clash legs with him. Pretty surprised the ref gave that.

Never a penalty. They were pushing each other. Before that Duff should have been booked for diving. The ref is not up to it.

Gutierrez and Harper have been pretty good as well.

Agreed.

It's been a cracking game. I have doubts as to whether the Pool/Chelsea game will be as entertaining.

Good game.

I think Jones is a class act.

He's surely destined for Arsenal.

Never a pen.

Here comes Lovenkrands.LOL.

Jones is a great player.

Some acceleration for a guy of his size.

I'm a massive Jones fan. Think he is absolutely quality. Just love the way he plays. Big powerful forward and as another post mentioned has really quick feet for a big guy.

What was chopra doing there!!!!? should've played it simple for jones to slot it away.

Chopra bottled it big time there.

I think Chopra is very left footed and he wasn't confident of taking it on his right. Great chance for Sunderland though.

He's also a Toon fan coincidentally.
