Rumours here in Iceland that Hearts have rejected a 500k offer from Portuguese side Braga for Eggert Jonsson.

Saying it will be in tomorrows newspapers over here.

Can play almost anywhere on the park, is already an international, still what 21? A great prospect for the future, and they offer ?500k? Walk on! Could easily be worth ?3m+ in the future!!

an offer like that would even embarrass the old firm.

i hope not to see him leave any time soon, if he does it better be for alot more than ?500k.

From a team we trounced with De Vries, Kirk, Mckenna et al.

They want an Icelandic International and the new Tomas Flogal for 500k!

GTF.

500k + Meyong and we could consider it.

500k alone - BOLT.

Still wouldn't want us to sell him.I made a thread the other week saying that Eggert is our biggest asset in terms of future ability and future transfer value.**** getting rid of him for a striker who could be hit or miss in the ruff and tumble of the SPL.

The lads gonna be worth ?5M+ in the future for me. Im sure Csaba knows this. Future first choice centre half. Has everything he needs for that and he's serving a good wee apprenticeship at the mo by playing a few positions.

500K!!!! - this is a big story in Iceland, remember.....What's the capital of Iceland..........1 pound 57p!

steady mate, we are going the same way...

With the pound going through the floor , now is the time for Continental clubs to raid the UK if ever there was one...

500K?

The pie man would have bitten their hand off.

One thing you can always say about VR, despite him being as mad as a box of frogs, is that he's a shrewd cookie in the transfer market.

If our pounds are so worthless then they can bloody well offer a hell of a lot more than half a million of them for the eggster...

I can't believe the administrators are turning down bids of half a million.

I thought it was everything must go from 1st Jan? Have I been misinformed?

Mr Jonsson is, imo, a quality footballer. I'm sure many would agree that he will move on and to a league that is much better than this one. Hopefully he has his head screwed and actually has a plan for his career, rather than taking the first 'big' contract offerred.

Of course, it will take more than the raported offer therefore I would look for something around the ?4million mark. A player competent at playing several positions is worth more than someone playing in a niche position, other then striker.

Well said... the creditors will be wanting the administrators sacked!
