The Chinchilla
Off to Madrid this weekend......(bad planning!).......and wondered just on the off chance whether anyone knew of anywhere you can watch Scottish games there?
rossmaroon
Off to Madrid this weekend......(bad planning!).......and wondered just on the off chance whether anyone knew of anywhere you can watch Scottish games there? I do indeed. off the Plaza de Sol there is a street with 2 or 3 Irish/British bars which show the football. Street runs from main road up to Plaz Santa Anna. Will check my Madrid guide and get back. rossmaroon
Off to Madrid this weekend......(bad planning!).......and wondered just on the off chance whether anyone knew of anywhere you can watch Scottish games there? Yes, go along Calle San Geronimo and take Calle de Vitoria (or it might be Calle De Esposa e Mina which is street before it). If you fancy going to a game you can pick up tickets for Atletico from windows at the Calderon. If Real are at home you will probably have to go out in the morning and buy from The Bernabeu - worth it to take the tour. Touts sell tickest cheaper but probably not together and you need Spanish to bargain. Bars round both stadiums are absolutely jumping right up to ko. We_are_the_Hearts
Irish Rover, very welcoming pub!!! Went there on a stag do to watch the footy and got plenty free drink. Anything goes, including singing and dancing on the tables. By the time we left even the bar staff were drunk!!
The Chinchilla
Thanks all. Will make a note of them and try to find them. Can't imagine Hearts vs Inverness will be the big ticket game this weekend but you never know! Off to the Bernabeu on Sunday to watch Real vs Deportivo. Top tier, 25 euros a ticket. Quality!
