Rooney Is a good player, but I reckon he's overrated. He will never be the world class striker that the english seem to think he is. He's too inconsistant he is consistent at playing well IMO, very rarely does he play badly. As for Neville he probably isn't the best right-back in the world but he never makes mistakes and is excellent at crossing. you want somebody who can play well week in week out IMO and he's done that for years. Unlike some younger full-backs who are superb when they're on form but barely ever are.

sked21
Was thinking about this last night. I honestly couldn't pick a world 11 mainly because I see very little of the European teams. The Champions League and for their national team in tournaments every two years. Other than Scottish, English and a bit of Spanish no idea how players like Buffon (Although I do know he hasn't played since the start of last season), Ribery etc are playing. The only way folk are putting these players in their teams is by here-say. Folk like Phillip Lahm could be having a nightmare season but no one will be none the wiser. bighusref
Buffon Sergio Ramos ----- Vidic ---- Puyol ----- Evra --------Gerrard ----- Yaya Toure Ronaldo ---- --------------------------Messi ---------------------Kaka -----------------------Torres Have some of that. Is Buffon's position a tribute to the architect of last Sunday's opening goal? As for the thread, I agree with Sked, I don't see enough European football to make an accurate assessment, that's not to say that I won't try! ----------------Buffon Sagna--Cannavaro--Marquez--Jankulovski ---------Mascherano--Xavi-------------- -------Messi----Kaka-------------------- ------------Van Nistelrooy--------------- A little lop sided, but the players dictated that. I am very happy with my defensive six, but how to fit in so many fantastic attacking players was a big problem. Jankulovski would bomb down that left and help fill in the gap, but tbh, Messi and Kaka would be interchangeable all along the front line anyway.
