The football player was caught breaking the 70mph limit on a half-mile stretch of the westbound M9 near Falkirk on 15 July last year. Falkirk District Court heard he was driving an "extremely high performance" BMW 6 series car at the time. In addition to the fine, the former Celtic star was also given three penalty points on his licence.
