Sgt.Rock Posted January 4, 2009 Share Posted January 4, 2009 There are several types of tear duct and some are considered to be modified sweat glands, and they secrete similar stuff, although some components of tear 'film' are oily emulsions that help lubricate the surface of the eyeball.
