The Duke
Can someone please clarify this for me:- Does Vlad own UBIG in the same sense that Alan Sugar owns Amstrad?????
dumbojambo
Can someone please clarify this for me:- Does Vlad own UBIG in the same sense that Alan Sugar owns Amstrad????? My understanding is that UBIG (Ukios Bankas Investment Group) are the investment arm of UKIOS Bank, among other things dealing in real estate investment projects. Romanov is a 30% shareholder of UKIOS Bank, his mother is a 10% shareholder so I suppose that effectively makes him a 40% shareholder of the bank. That would mean he doesn't own either UKIOS Bank or its investment arm, UBIG.

Mr Quagmire
No matter what anyone says, he owns UBIG which owns Ukio bank and lots of other companys including HMFC. Just like any other Limited company UBIG has its share holders etc
Tasavallan
No matter what anyone says, he owns UBIG which owns Ukio bank and lots of other companys including HMFC. Just like any other Limited company UBIG has its share holders etc UBIG does not own UB. UB is a seperate company listed on the Baltic stock exchange. http://www.ubig.lt/index.php/projektai/finance_and_investment/ab_ukio_bankas/71 However, your are right that VR has control over both companies. VR personally owns 60% of UBIG, with the other 40% spilt among his family, friends and dangleberries. While VR controls over 58% of the shares in UB. Tasavallan
This is Angelė Dementavičiūtė who is Chairwoman of the UBIG Board. She certainly wasn't picked by VR for her good looks?
