Bunny Munro
Last season Velicka scored 14 goals in 26 appearances, thats just over 1 every two games. If we had that this season we would still be 3rd, with a game in hand. I know its not quite as black and white as that, however it does show how valuble a decent striker is for us. The Don
So really what the OP is saying if we scored more goals we would win more games? I'd never thought of that, pass that info onto Csaba, this thread should be hidden, wouldnt like any other SPL managers to get hold of this info. I P Knightley
I was actully refering to our goal difference vs Dundee unt's I understood that. But some of those goals would have converted losses to draws and draws to wins. We'd have been swimming in points. If the goals came early in matches, who know how demoralised the oppo would have become. Losses become wins. We're top of the league!

Alternatively in trying to run every attack through our predatory striker we become one dimensional, predictable and easier to defend against. The opening day win against Motherwell with three goals from midfield becomes a 2-1 defeat, we lose at Ibrox the crowd get's on the teams back, the players are demoralised things go from bad to worse. We're in trouble.

Maybe Strapon will come in for him? Jhudas!! etc.
Victorian
"the old firm play a crude, primitive form of football" vlad, some time back. he was right, playing highly prolific strikers like kris boyd and scott mcdonald is indeed crude. we are doing the right thing by having strikers that never score. all goals should come from the midfield and defence. hearts.... playing football the way it should be played.
