He deserves it for that forward roll.

A real thing of beauty.

Suspect Device

so, lets see.

a free kick is played into the Hearts box by Adam, Karapidis heads it against his own bar under pressure from Boyd, and as its coming down, Karapidis slips while trying to clear it and knocks it over the line for a goal to Rangers.

Boyd then celebrates by doing a silly forward roll.

and the referee then gives the goal to Boyd ?

have i got that right

how..why..when..?

rudi must stay
Did he even touch it?

yup it hit his knee and bounced up and hit the crossbar. Never his goal, but he deserves something for that bizarre celebration

The celebration best described as "the fat kid at school doing a forward roll in gym class!!!"

Who gives a hoot BTW coz we won!!:)

Sorry if this has appeared before but BBC reporting that Kari's OG against der hun has been awarded to Kris Boyd

Thus reinforcing the concensus that the GFA are a bunch of complete muppets

Edit :

Apologies I see this has already been done

I think it was the ref that awarded Boyd the goal and since there is no dubious goals panel in Scotland he has the final say.

Strange though it will still not count as a shot on target as it hit the bar before going in.

if he cant make the right decisions during the game there's no were on hell he's going to after the match and that forward roll was a thing of beauty. just proves the point of boyd being a clown

A couple of seasons ago Andrius Velicka got a perfectly good goal taken off him and given as an OG because his goalbound shot took a deflection on its way in.

Kris Boyd hits the bar and the ball comes back out into play before being knocked in by a Hearts player - and Boyd is given the goal.

Do they actually watch replays before making these decisions or just flip a coin and base it on that?

In Scotland these decisions are given by the ref during the game and he has the final word. No replays are watched.

Well there you go.

Was taking the pish out of them, and actually gave them too much credit while doing so.

Tells its own story.

That's not how it happens in a lot of other leagues, though, is it?

It's hardly a coinflip, Thommo. Rule 13 subsection 6 of the SFA handbook reads:

"If a player affiliated to either Rangers FC or Celtic FC has a shot deflected into the goal by an opponent, they shall be credited with the goal, however significant the deflection might be. If a player affiliated to any other club has a shot deflected into the goal by an opponent, the opponent shall be credited with an own goal, however slight the deflection might be. No right of appeal shall be granted in the above cases."
