Gav Aitchison Posted November 23, 2008 Share Posted November 23, 2008 York Hearts have about a dozen tickets remaining for their annual dinner dance next Friday, a St Andrew's Night Celebration. It is in the Park Inn Hotel in the city centre, and consists of a hot Scottish meal, followed by a disco. There's also a quiz, raffle, auction and late bar. The auction includes one fantastic item in particular - the actual shirt worn by Hearts full-back Roy Kay in the 1976 Scottish Cup Final. We're not taking any internet or phone bids, so if you want to win it you'll need to be there on the night. Roy will be one of our guests, along with ex-Hearts keeper Henry Smith. We're also hopeful of having a member of the current squad there too. Tickets are ?25 and can be ordered by emailing [email protected] A quarter of all auction and raffle proceeds will go to our chosen charity, which this season is Cancer Research. Last year's do raised ?550 for the York Guardian Angels appeal, which has been funding new facilities in the children's ward at York Hospital.
