Therapist
Fat Alex should hang his head in shame. Surely it's now time the cretinous Braveheart-minded SNP supporters woke up and realised they're being completely shafted by this bunch of clowns. http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/latestnews/SNP-spends-23000-on-Saltires.4697577.jp
felix
That's truly shocking - imagine buying something from the far east because it's cheaper to produce - I'm finished with that shower for good.

Increasing numbers of Scots are worrying about their job security ? and are concerned about whether or not they will be able to make their next mortgage repayment, or afford their rising heating bills this winter. Such a broad threat has required a Government that is prepared ? as this one is - to stand up in the national interest, and defend Scottish livelihoods and jobs. we will continue to ensure all Government activity, including on planning and regulation, supports economic development and has a positive impact in creating jobs locally. Guess where that article comes from? The website of an organisation who declared they had won the Glenrothes by-election prior to the result and ended up massively humiliated and losing it by a distance. Scotland's best interests at heart.

Giving an award to well known patriot Sean Connery is an even more embarrassing decision than honouring Sturgeon! In the case of the former what about Chris Hoy? I doubt we could survive as an isolationist economy.

Das Root
As usual the OP delivers a headline the Daily Rankgers would be proud of. Here's the bottom of the piece... "Lord George has now confirmed that the procurement arrangements he is attacking are exactly the same as applied under the previous administration," he said. "The difference is that while the Labour/Lib Dem administration spent ?35,000 on Saltires in 2006, the SNP are delivering better value for money by spending less this year. "All Saltires used by the Scottish Government for promotional purposes are sourced through RR Donnelley, who use a variety of manufacturers, including sources in Scotland." So they use the same folk as Labour did yet Foulkes is up on his soap box shouting how disgraceful it is? How does that work? Difference of course being the SNP knock the costs down by ?12,000 while Labour were happy to p*ss money up against the wall. And judging by the fact they buy off the sourcing company I wouldn't think they paid ANYTHING to the actual manufacturer, so more bollox from the Hootsman.
