Was thinking about going up to Riccarton tomorrow morning to watch u/19s v Celtic.Anyone know if it is definitely on.It is in the fixture list on the official website but otherwise there is no mention of it.Thought it may have got a bit publicity either there or in the newspaper.

Recent games have been moved from 11am to 12.30pm & 1pm kick off's although that is possibly cos the visitors were Inverness & Aberdeen who've further to travel - if the weathers decent then might head up for the game - the lads played really well in the cup game last week so their confidence should be high.

Hibs have a bit of a lead at the top.

That shouldn't surprise anyone. The Leith flairmeisters have an endless conveyor belt of young talent.

Is that the young Lithuanian lad we signed in the summer who was injured?

Great result for the lads

Great performance again from the youngsters, with the same team as put seven past QOTS last weekend. It was a good team performance, particularly through their work rate, constantly closing down and denying time to their opponents.

Best performances were from Craig Thompson who had some great runs going forward and put in great crosses from open play and set pieces, (including his goal that eluded everybody) and from Mark Cowan who held the ball up well and worked tirelessly against the central defenders. With a little more luck and compusure he could have had four or five goals instead of just the two he did get.

jambos are go!

First time I've seen them in a while and was impressed all round. Good pacy wingers and I liked the left back. Cowan held the ball up well and a good striker. Needs to grow a bit. Strange to see such flair free Celtic youngsters -but thats their problem.

Great result, made the tic look very average after giving them no time on the ball.

Great performances from Craig Thomson, Elias Wagner, Mark Cowan and Mike Delans. :)

A very enjoyable game and our boys turned Celtic over today even leaving out the likes of Rapnik, Glen, Husband, J.Brown & R.Wallace who are all still eligible for U19 & the injured Visconte. Encouraging stuff. :)

I saw Rapnik having a kick about with one of the coaches/scouts on the astro.............was there a reason he didnt play?

He hasn't played in the U19 all season - he's been in the reserves and fringes of the first team squad - it's mostly the younger kids like Balatoni & Dylan McGowan that are playing centre-back in the U19 this season.

such a great result and its what the lads need after some good performances this year. Good to hear that Thomson is continuing his great performances at U19 level considering this is his first year in the under 19s.

Also interesting to hear that Wagner had a good game. It seems that he is doing well this year, last year he seemed uninterested and lazy when playing but this season it sounds like he is having a good impact. Same with Delands and Cowans. The U19s are developing well and it will show up when they step up to the first team (maybe be at least a season.)

Though curious to know how Novikovas looked when he came on?
