Our socks are meant to be maroon - put the bandages under the socks if needed. And why is it always the players who fancy themselves as being a bit special that wear them? Especially when, in reality, they contribute the square root of f - all to the team cause. Chesney, Kingston, Obua, Ruben, Aguair etc.. Have a word with yourselves. Real men wouldn't wear them. I think it's players who think they are a bit flashier than their teammates and want to stand out from the Robbies, Wallaces and Berras. The "Ronaldo and Torres wear them" argument emphasises my point I think. alot of players where a tubigrip type material over their shinpads. keeps them from moving round your leg when you slide and tackle etc. then of course theres ronaldo torres etc who go for the tape. looks alright to me. Rant over They do it for 'style' i guess, much like when players like Cantona wore there collars up, or how some players always wear long sleeve tops with the sleeves rolled up instead of just wearing a short sleeved top.
