live on attheraces and racing uk tomorrow.......................

looking forward to a night in with a carryout of food and drink and a great evenings racing, in between the wife watching the x factor.

anybody any tips or fancies yet ?

quite like the look of fatal bullet in the sprint, got a dodgy draw but does like to make all,so if it breaks well should go close...............

europes best hopes look to be in the turf, but looks a really tough race to predict on paper............................

the classic looks to be between curlin and casino drive imo and the mile could go to goldikova, although a lot depends on how he acts on the predicted firm ground.........................

best of luck to all punting and keep the stakes low..........:107years:

J.T.F.Robertson

I popped along to the local track yesterday and just before I left the hoose, the radio happened to play Rick Astley's "Together Forever". Anyway, the first race I was in there for was won by a horse called, "Forever Together" and a couple of races later the winner came in at about 13/1 and in his most recent race, had been beaten by that same horse.

I'm listening to the station right now and awaiting it's "tips" for today.

Did that last night. Had a carry out watching the ladies day races. Not too successful although was just pipped on the o'brien runner heartshaped. Working tonight so will only see the last 3 races. Really quite fancy Eagle Mountain in the turf race. Westphallia and Curlin look quite decent shorties but will have to see how much I have left after this afternoon before I back them. Might do a double.

Where did you get 4/1 Westphalia?

Sorry i was just in from work and i had the horses i fancied and there predicted sp`s for tonight 9 to bloody 4 :( did`nt think it would come in that short prob try the American pmu later as it`s a European horse and the american`s can be insular in there horses.

Soldier of Fortune for me, I backed 4 Aiden O'Brien runners seeing as he's swept the boards in group 1's this season mate.

What I like about Soldier of Fortune is he's not had a hard season just like Eagle Mountain. Eagle Mountain has just had the one run so far and broke the mile record at Newmarket. That coming in it's first race since a year out with a pelvic injury is immense. However this is 1m 4f - so although speed is there is the stamina? He is sired by Rock of Gibraltar, very much a 8f horse. Whereas Soldier is sired by the mighty Galileo and has won over the distance before. Our two have faced one and other over this distance before and the Soldier smashed him by 9l - albeit on much softer ground.

I just think going is too fast for Soldier mate.

Winning distances mean nothing in the past if a horse doesn't act on the going, I've seen horses overturn 20 or 30 lengths over the jumps just because the going suits better than last time out, it should be a good race :)

yeh! backed the double with ladbrokes on wednesday got 2/i goldikova and 3/1 curlin, yanks seem to think he is unbeatable but i would say 7/4 is about right as its his 1st time on a polytrack......................

that said if he acts on the surface he should p*ss it, hopefully :)

I've backed Henry and Go Between in the last race, if either of them land the spoils I'm in front today, fingers crossed that Curlin doesn't go on the surface because if it was dirt he would win by the length of Princess Street!!

Grrrrrr!!

I had a long hard look at Ravens Pass and decided that Henry needed the step up to 10f ffs, didn't think Ravens Pass would outstay him and saw Go Between as the main danger, I hate the Breeders Cup lol!

My Bro told me to go for Ravens Pass but it was too late, I had my cash on. Even put a bet on for him at 12's. Even more raging now!

I can remember a few years back.I was waiting on Rock of Gibralter at this meeting.I had done a treble and he let me down for nearly ?600 bucks.I was spewing. It was his last race before he got retired and he was finishing on the outside like a train.

Say What Again
Done 11.00 soldier of fortune

A(n ex) favourite horse of mine that I'll keep away from for a while.

It's almost scary how easily Zarkava blew away SoF and Duke of Marmalade in the Arc
