The Fonz
Probably because people have less money to go out and drink so theres a big demand for supermarket booze.

Brian Whittaker's Tache
Its ridiculously cheap Government are banging on about binge drinking all the time and Tesco's et al pay lip service to it Open the paper this morning and a LITRE of Whyte and Mackays is a tenner in Tesco All thats happening is the booze manufacturers are getting humped by the supermarkets. They're the only industry where at the peak of their annual demand they slash their prices. Its like holiday companies giving half price holidays for the first fortnight in July. I mostly work for booze clients and it irks me that the supermarkets can do this in spite of the growing concerns in the media over alcohol and ill health Great deals for us sensible drinkers though!! Louise
Without a shadow of a doubt the supermarkets can take a huge amount of responsibility for my binge-drinking habit. A litre of cider for ?1.39? Who wouldn't. Incidentally I had my purse stolen last night and no idea how I got home. Happy days.
