Its a lexmark x4580 which now gives me an error message of unsupportable cartridge despite being a genuine lexmark ink? brownkg Posted October 22, 2008 Share Posted October 22, 2008 did you touch the contacts? use an air duster on them,offer the printer the choice "work or die" ,hope the store you bought it from doesn't stock them no more and that they have a half price offer on a newer one which means it is the same price as the one you bought (assuming you took out the 3 year refund insurance) It scares the living daylights out of me how it is cheaper to buy a new printer rather than ink cartridges for your current one and how fast they go obsolete. Had a Epson for 8 months which went phut luckily I took out insurance @ ?7.99 got a newer better cannon MFD for no cash whatsoever. Does anyone want to buy some epson cartriges?
