youngy
Honest answer? I have no idea. The only way I can see him helping is if he can somehow use the passage that I quoted in the last blog post that talks about spreading the money out in a BETTER way, rather than it all heading into Parkhead and Ibrox. As I said, it's one last shot in the dark to try to get the 10 clubs talking to each other and doing the same thing.
Frankenstein Jambo.
Its a discrace that, exluding Hearts and Hibs, the clubs would bend over and let the old firm bully them like this. Good luck and hope you get a reply soon sir!

As I said, it's one last shot in the dark to try to get the 10 clubs talking to each other and doing the same thing. There's a simple solution to this problem and it works like this....... All the clubs collectively tell the old firm to go and play with traffic. I'm sure I read previously that its in the SPL rules that they cant deduct any money for selling away tickets. Obviously they could charge their own fees to their fans but they cant take 5% from Hearts, Hibs or whoever.
Samster
spreading the money out in a BETTER way, rather than it all heading into Parkhead and Ibrox. If I was in charge I'd create a level playing field by splitting all the gate money equally among the clubs. All very 'collective farming' I know (and I'm no socialist) but the game Scotland needs a boot in the crack and this might be the way.

All very 'collective farming' I know (and I'm no socialist) but the game Scotland needs a boot in the crack and this might be the way. Be careful what you wish for. It's not as simple as saying the OF are money grabbing *******s (not aimed at you). People do realise that Hearts and every other club in the SPL get a wedge of cash from the OF's overseas revenue? For example each SPL club rake in 1000's every year from Celtic's broadcasting deal which they have with an American media outlet. This is just one example of many such deals. I think the current system suits us better than if clubs were entitled to keep what cash is rightfully theirs. CELTIC Football Club have signed up with a US radio station to broadcast live commentary across America as part of a brand-building campaign ahead of a lucrative tour this summer. The deal with New York-based Sirius Satellite Radio will expose Celtic to millions of listeners who subscribe to the channel for $12 (?6) a month. Click to learn more... The Celtic football programme will run for the rest of this season and the whole of next and provide valuable publicity in the run-up to a two-match tour, including a glamorous tie against a Major League Soccer All Stars team that could mark the American debut for former England captain David Beckham. Celtic's Sirius deal follows a similar arrangement with English Premiership champions Chelsea, whose matches have attracted about 13 million listeners a week since the start of the current season. Sirius has 5.5 million subscribers and Celtic will earn a royalty, retaining half of the income while the other 50% is shared among the other Scottish Premier League clubs. It is not expected to make a huge contribution to the club's income. Peter Lawwell, Celtic chief executive, said: "It is an exciting development for us, but it is not a transforming deal. This is about brand exposure." The football programmes are presented by Charlie Stillitano, a former general manager of the New York/New Jersey Metrostars and an organiser of the World Cup in 1994. His co-presenter is Giorgio Chinaglia, former New York Cosmos and Italian national team striker. Celtic will provide interviews and news content and there will be a live phone-in
Ally Alexander
Blackjac If Celtic, by retaining half of the income, do not expect the deal to make a huge contribution to its income, how much do you reckon less than 5% contributes to the other clubs? I’m sure I’ve read somewhere the deal was something like $400k. So that leaves $200k split 11 ways, that would be around $18k and with the ? being stronger than the $, that would be around ?10k per club in real money. As I said, there’s other OF deals we get a wedge from too and if the OF fecked off TV revenue would plummet. Lets be honest, the 10 remaining clubs aren’t exactly marketable out with Scotland. Also, there's no denying the OF bring a large away contingent to Tynie, so I can see some of the reasoning behind their demands. Whereas we've toiled to take 800 to CP on a few occasions. Common sense aside, do I want hearts to stump up the 5%? No fecking way.
