rudi must stay
Kello - 5 didn't look up for the match so glad he was subbed Jonsson - 6 didn't let Shiels into the match Berra - 6 usual solid game from him Zaliukas - 6 his pass could have cost us at the end. Apart from that though he did fine Wallace - 7 much better from him. Looked good going forward too Kingston - 5 once again he didn't really do anything Stewart - 7 didn't stop chasing all game Aguiar - 8 MOTM never wasted the ball when he had it. Clever free-kick as well for the goal Karipidis - 7 don't think he missed a challenge all game Driver - 7 what a difference it makes having him in the team Nade - 7 seemed genuinely interested in the game. He also showed he can play abit as well

Snake Plissken
Kello - subbed before he cost us the game 4 Jonsson - frustrated Riordan 7 Berra - so-so 6 Zaliukas - bombscare 4 Wallace - looks better going forward 6 Kingston - couple of nice passes and good touches coupled with some baffling moments 6 Stewart - big effort 7 Aguiar - neat and tidy with a goal 8 Karipidis - suspect in the goal but came onto a game 6 Driver - not 100% but a menace to Hibs all day 7 Nade - looked interested but really should have scored 7 Subs Balogh - an iffy moment with a header but after that was assured and a super bit of goalkeeping to bail Zaliukas out. Can't comment Mole and Thomson really.

N User
Kello - 6. Some great kicking, some shocking kicking. Wallace - 6. Great going forward, still a bit shaky defending (at the goal?) Jonnson - 6. Couple of unnecessary fouls but a decent performance. (dodged a bullet with penalty) Berra - 6. Fairly comfortable Zaliukas - 6. Didn't have much to do but needs to cut the bombscare moments out. Kingston - 6. Good on the ball, far too complacent first half but a decent game overall. Driver - 7. Quiet first half, excellent second half. Any other day his passing would ave created 2 goals. Karipidis - 7. Showed why Csaba keeps him in midfield. Stewart - 6. A quiet game but work-rate cannot be faulted. Aguiar - 9. Awesome performance. Everything he did (except one instance) was brilliant. Nade - 6. A tough shift for him but he worked well and didn't lose his position in the way Mole does. Still looking a bit slow though. Balogh - WHAT A STOP! Zaliukas- buy that man a pint! JamboJen
Kello - 6 - As the OP, benefit of the doubt re the pass back and head knock, kicking not great. Jonsson - 7 - Riordan in his back pocket for most of the match, will be a class right back considering he's only had a few weeks in the position. Great overlapping particularly in the first half. Zaliukas - 6 - Played well IMO apart from his backpasses, which in the first half Kello was also partly responsible for. Berra - 7 - Best game this season IMO. Let Fletcher gets passed him on a bouncing ball in that dreadful first 5 minutes but played well after. Wallace - 7 - Don't remember him making any mistakes. Supported Driver well. Kingston - 5 - Came into it in the second half but he's a lazy bassa and as the game was getting end-to-end, he wasn't interested in getting back, although he did put in a great challenge once to his credit. It's a team game and individual skill doesn't make up for laziness and bad attitude. Even his team mates were getting fed up with him. Karipidis - 8 - Mopped everything up, able to break forward as well and good control throughout. Stewart - 7 - Quieter than usual but that's to be expected when Mixu had him marked so closely. Still able to make an impact and gave their midfield no time. Driver - 9 - Class. We've missed him a hell of a lot. Direct running really caused Hibs problems, especially in the second half. Shame Nade was too tired to keep up with him later on! Aguiar - 10 - Great goal, great composure, great control, great vision. You would never guess he'd been out for 18 months. MOM easily. Nade - 8 - Unlucky not to get onto Kingston's "dinked" balls in the first half. Maybe should have done better with the snap shot near the end. Good, strong running and link up play. Subs: Balogh - 8 - Great save at some Hobo's feet (Riordan?). Good kicking and generally looked safe. Thompson and Mole - no time.

Bunny Munro
Kello - 2 - Maybe its harsh but can't think of anything positive, even if he wasnt injured he should've been subbed. Jonnson - 6 - still developing in that role Berra - 6 - not bad, not excellent Zaliukis - 7 - thought he was playing great until he did a "neil-lennon-to-bednar" on us. Wallace - 7 - assured at the back and won the free kick for the goal, one dodgey throw at the end (or was that andy?) Kingston - 6 - good first half but should have shown way for miko by 65 mins Stewart - 6 - hardly in the game, tried hard though. Karapidis - 7 - looks like a CDM Driver - 8 - unstoppable at times, we have really missed him in recenet weeks Aguair - 8 - awesome MOTM Nade - 7 - shouldve got the winner
Devries4
From a TV perspective Kello - 5 - poor kicking before Nish assault. Ball nowhere near him. Wallace - 6 - thought he did ok again. appeared quite comfortable at times. Jonnson - 6 - worked hard. Benefit of tv proved Riordan straightened the leg as he went down. Berra - 7 - Much better game today. Zaliukas - 7 - did well. too too casual though at times and it doesn't suit him. Kingston - 6 - Still looked a bit of a luxury but better than recent shows. Driver - 7. Did well for first game after injury. Karipidis - 7 - Had alot of space at times and seemed unsure at what to do. Stewart - 7 - Grafted. Aguiar - 9 * - One of the old school. For a first game back after that length of time I thought he could do no more. Nade - 8 - For what it's worth i thought he was second best player on the park. Did everything I hoped he would do. (bar the sitter at the end) Balogh - 8 - for that stop. It was top drawer. Mole and Thomson 4 - for wasting time. Ref - Smith - eventually you will get found out. Oh and Hibs - Everything directed towards Ratboy, that was their tactic today.
Dr. Sheldon Cooper
Kello 5 - Looked a bit dodgy today. Couple of sloppy passes out to the defenders. Jonsson 6 - Got to the wrong side of Riordan a couple of times, but dealt with him reasonably well. Wallace 7 - One of his better performances. Strong second half performance. Berra 6 - Unlucky to hit bar. Didn't do much of note. Zaliukas 6 - Apart from the terrible passback at the end. Was fairly solid. Karipidis 6 - Went through the game un-noticed. Passed it about well. Kingston 6 - Should have scored. Improved second half. Driver 8 - Constant threat. Caused Van Zanten a lot of problems. Stewart 7 - Was marked tightly throughout. Aguiar 9 - Brilliant. Excellent free kick. Shows how much he was missed. Nade 7 - Should have scored. Had goal wrongly disallowed. Should start next week. Balogh 7 - Saved us right at the end. Couple of good saves. DC_92
Marian Kello - 5 - poor kicking, looked dodgy. Eggert Jonsson - 7 - handled Riordan well. Marius Zaliukas - 6 - solid enough for the most part, but he didn't exactly help his keepers out with those backpasses:eek: Christophe Berra - 6 - solid enough. Lee Wallace - 7 - better today. Got forward well. Christos Karipidis - 7 - solid. Laryea Kingston - 6 - don't think he was as bad as some are saying. Not particularly effective either. Michael Stewart - 6 - quiet today. Bruno Aguiar - 9 - brilliant. Andrew Driver - 8 - had Van Zanten on toast. Christian Nade - 6 - did ok. Missed a couple of good oppurtunities. Janos Balogh - 7 - saved us once or twice. The People's Chimp
Kello - 5 (Said it a fortnight ago; "eccentric") Jonsson - 6 (few rough edges, dealt ok with riordan who really stretched him though) Berra - 7 (solid enough and unlucky not have goal) Zaliukas - 6 (4 for his crazy lapse of concentration, which came as no surprise, but overall was putting himself about) Wallace - 7 (much improved, confidence back?) Kingston - 6.5 (some of it worked, some of it didn't. Linked well with Bruno) Stewart - 6/7 (Played well, some work allowed Bruno to shine) Karapidis - 7 (back to start of season form. Few runs and pretty solid in letting the rest of the midfield play) Aguiar - 9 (Sublime performance) Driver - 8 (Pace and commitment. Big player) Nade - 6.5 (Terrible miss at the end, couldn't quite get on the end of it, overall he really stretched hibs back 4 and shold use this as the springboard for his season) Balogh - 7 (Came in and coped well. Excellent reactions to save Bombscare's bacon at the death). Hibs key players - Bamba, Riordan, Shiels and Jones. A great game, we were unlucky not to take the 3 points, but i'm happy enough with the point.
jambo walesy
Kello-5-Worrying at times. Jonsson-6-Not bad out of position but failed to keep rat boy quiet. Zal-6-Steady bar THAT backpass. Berra-7-Very steady today. Wallace-6-Better than usual but too much ball watching. Kingston-5-Too lazy imo would much prefer Miko, Larry is a luxury rather than a neccessity(sp?) Stewart-6-Quiet going forward but along with Karapidis he allowed Bruno to play. Karapidis-7-Did exactly what was asked of him. Driver-8-Best performance of the year, had Van Zantan on toast. Bruno-9-Like a new signing for us, lets hope he can keep it up. Nade-6-Played ok but still looks a few yards slow, also terrible miss. Balogh-8-Great save from rat boy volley and after zal backpass. Hungry Heart
Why has Wallace got either a 6 or 7 in this thread? He was his usual terrible self and his ever-prominant ball watching tactics cost us the goal. He's only in the team as we have no other left back. I personally would like us to sign a left back in January and punt "shotgun" as he will not develop any more than he already has. Who's left back at youth level? Overall whilst gutted we did not take the 3points we thoroughly deserved i was pleased with the team effort and with the style of play we produced, after what we have had to endure the last few weeks it was enjoyable to watch, the only thing missing was the goal to give us what we deserved. Well done to the team, CL(i take it since we did not get beat, he picked it;)) and to the fans. We(the fans) owned Fester Road today.

Geoff Kilpatrick
A good night in the Charles Dickens pub last night. Thanks to Brian, Malky and Gary the h***y! Ratings: - Kello - 4 - Dodgy kicking almost sold the jerseys Jonsson - 7 - Played Riordan the way we've needed to play him over the past few years Wallace - 6 - Better than he has been but still average Berra - 5 - Thought he looked ropey against Nish Karipidis - 5 - Sold the first goal by being weak at the second ball and was caught ball-watching on two occasions Zaliukas - 5 - Almost sold the game. Had been solid up to that point. Stewart - 6 - Anonymous but gets an extra point for kicking Ian Murray! Aguiar - 9 - MoM by a country mile. Fantastic performance Nade - 6 - Nice to have someone who knows how to play up front. Pity he forgot how to score! Kingston - 6 - Curate's egg performance. Worked quite hard but passing was hit or miss Driver - 7 - Unlucky not to create the winning goal Subs Balogh - 7 - Save at the end was fantastic Mole - 1 - No time Thomson - 1 - No time
blairdin
Kello - 4 shakey even before head knock - I'd have subbed him anyway. Jonsson - 7 Rearend in his pocket mostly, but overlapped very well Berra - 7 solid and unlucky not to score header Zaliukas - 5 too casual thrpoughout Wallace - 6 thought he did OK Kingston -6.5 good going forward, benefitted from Bruno. Hopeless defensively Stewart - 6.5 tries too hard at times Bruno - 9 immense. If 4-5-1 is out formation, he is the man to release the wingers and striker Karapidis - 7 like Kingston, benefitted from having Bruno in there Driver - 8 ran his heart out and was constant threat Nade - 7 much better movement (as opposed to headless chicken) and made ball stick up front Sub goalie Balogh - 8 impressive debut in difficult circumstances. Two great saves from Rearend
Buffalo Bill
Kello 4 - looked uncomfortable Balogh 8 - unlikely hero Jonsson - 7 solid Berra - 7 looks like a boy: plays like a man Zali 6 - played well but shoking back pass nearly "killed" us Wallace 7 - his best performance in ages Kingston 5 - Woeful 1st half. Much better 2nd. Sell him. Karipidis 7 - hardly put a foot wrong all day. Stewart 7 - really worked hard. Solid, if not spectacular Aguiar 9 - classiest player on show. Driver 8 - ran the Hubbers ragged Nade 8 - really gave it his all. Man of the match: Jason Thomson! Buffalo Bill .
Flogel7
Can't believe Scott Booth said Nade wasn't grat and he was lloking for more form him?! I thought he was very good today and he is our only striker who can lead the line on his own. He was our second best player today....
Harry Palmer
I think the defence done ok; considering they were up against Steven 'Real' Fletcher. Not too many teams would be able to cope with that. So; Kello-5 shocking distribution/Balogh-7 assured in what he had to do!etc Jonsson- 6/7 at no time did I feel he was under pressure Wallace- 6/7 better, comfortable going forward Berra- 7 comfortable; more assertiveness as captain needed Zaliukas-5/6 couple of nightmare moments! but we know there is a decent defender in there. Kingston- 6 I've been critical abt his general workrate, today was better but needs to show his ability more Driver-8 good to have him back, one player that can take players on and win Karapidis-7 is adapting to his new position and today done well Stewart-6/7 quiet by his standards, but not a disappointment Aguiar-9 easily the best player on the park, and having been out for 18mths, says a lot. Expect 7's from the written press but we know the score! Great ** and general play was excellent. Nade-7 an enigma, but I think he did ok today and should have had a goal, lasted longer than an hour!!!
Johanes de Silentio
Overall, happy with mid to front, but we're still a bit of a shambles at the back, I'm afraid! Kello - 5 - why must we insist on giving a keeper who we know cannae kick the ba' hospital passbacks? Jonsson - 6 - Great player - good today, although I agree that he left the back door open a few times - got forward well, though Zaliukas - 5 - meh - capable of much better - shocking passback late on! Berra - 6 - slightly better than Zal Wallace - 6 - really poor until he won us the free kick for Bruno's equalizer - came on to a better game after that - turning point for Wallace? It's up to you, spudgun! Karipidis - 6 - decent shift - good player - just don't like him in that role Stewart - 6 - pretty much anonymous - kept quiet by Murray - kept Murray quiet - lucky the officials didnae see his swipe at Murray - it's worth a yellow to hit Murray, but not a red! Bruno - 8 - top class apart form late miss. Kingston - 7 - pretty good today I thought - where did I put my tin hat? Driver - 8 - got better and better - great player and a right hard worker Nade - 7 - missed some great chances, but played well today - our best striking option by some distance Balogh - 7 - very good, bar one iffy moment Mole - 1 Thomson - 1 Cracking match, packed full of incidents - with more confidence and composure, we woulda buried these ***** today! Ah, well - next time, right?
Del1812
Kello 5 - Kicking poor, but I'll give him he benefit of the doubt with the mis-control of the pass back, I'm pretty sure my head would be up my erse if I had a suspected broken cheekbone. Jonsson 6 - Want to give him an 8 because for the most part he had a really good game. But he really struggled with Riordan in the first 20 mins. In that time we lost our only goal, Jonsson not looking too clever, so his points come down. Can see him as RB though. Wallace 8 - Expected a horror show, very pleased with what I saw. Solid performance in both defence and attack. Berra 6 - Individual performance was good but you have to look at a captain who is a centre half when the back four (collectively) looks as shaky as we did today. Zaliukas 6 - Good game for 99/100's of it but my god man, get some concentration on the go. You can't switch off at all in the Edinburgh derby, Zal did and Hearts should have paid the price. Karipidis 8 - Done exactly what was expected of him. He covered and tackled well and just did the simple things in order to let the footballers ahead of him play. Kingston 6 - Showed his skill, showed why he can be so frustrating and also showed what a lazy git he is at times. Didn't have a bad game but he can do so much more. He also should have put away one of his opportunities. Stewart 7 - Very impressed with the fact he was playing in a game where he was struggling to make his mark but he refused to lose the head. Didn't try to force the team onto his shoulders. He just played his part and played it well. Driver 8 - Quiet in the first half but in the second... my god. Ripped Van Zanten a new erse on more than one occasion. Pity he found his energy at the same time as a lot of teammates were losing theres. Aguiar 9 - 18 months? Pah. Reading some of the threads, I have a feeling some are suffering for selective memories because barring a couple of games, Bruno Aguiar has rarely looked this good. That is because he has often been used in a 3 or as a makeshift centre midfielder. This has always been his best position and I can't wait to see what damage he can do with a run of games under his belt. Nade 7 - Point off for not burying that chance at the end in a game where he did show his worth. Could still work harder but he linked well with teammates and just brought something to the game that someone like Jamie Mole or Juho Makela could never do. Subs Balogh 8 - Very happy for him to start next week, couple of top saves. Thomson 6 - No time Mole 6 - Ditto.
jamboron
Why has Wallace got either a 6 or 7 in this thread? He was his usual terrible self and his ever-prominant ball watching tactics cost us the goal. He's only in the team as we have no other left back. I personally would like us to sign a left back in January and punt "shotgun" as he will not develop any more than he already has. Who's left back at youth level? I was beginning to think that I must be the only Hearts fan who didn`t rate him , but now I can say "Thank God" realising that isn`t the case. as you said he was doing the usual ball watching when they scored.
