Driver & Berra on Blue Peter Tonight !!!

The Don

Recommended Posts

"Hearts stars Christophe Berra and Andrew Driver appeared on the world's most famous children's programme Blue Peter earlier this month - and you can see the fruits of their labour on this afternoon's edition!

Club captain Christophe and winger Andrew Driver presented twelve-year-old Connor Newlands with an invitation to Blue Peter's 50th birthday tea party which was held at Buckingham Palace yesterday."

Connor and his dad were tricked into taking part in a tour of Tynecastle for our website, heartsfc.co.uk, hosted by legend Gary Mackay.

When the young man got to the changing room he was met by mascot Teenie Tiger - aka Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton, who happens to be Kilmarnock midfielder Gavin's sister.

Connor showed exceptionally quick thinking and bravery when he saved his younger sister from drowning.

On a bike ride with his two sisters and father, Connor's father stopped to fix his sister's bike chain, whilst Connor and his other sister, Gemma, cycled on.

Gemma's bike hit a large stone and she fell, plunging head first 20ft, landing face down in the water.

Connor called for his dad, whilst pulling his sister out of the water and helping her to start breathing again. If it had not been for Connor's courage, Gemma may not have survived. Gemma describes her brother as her hero and the best brother in the world.

Helen (or Teenie, whichever you prefer) brought Connor onto the pitch where he was met by his Hearts heroes who presented him with his special invitation to meet the Queen!

Find out more about Connor, and watch what happened this afternoon. Blue Peter is on BBC One at 5.15pm.

Havent watched this show for donkeys years might have to tune in.

Not exactly a 3am-er though. Plus her brother made me very happy in May 2006.

I'd put on the DVD of it as I rode her.

I'd have him on loudspeaker :P

Wow, would have thought they would have mentioned it more often then.

Maybe we should remind them, dont want them missing out on such a big glory!

Hahaha

Yes, but on one of the occasions it was JL training with the Hubz team before the derby. When the programme was aired the match had been and of course we had pumped them, so the whole nation saw the goals and JL had the pee taken out of him by Karen Keating or whoever else was presenting the show at the time.

Regarding the nineties,i checked the fantastic London Hearts and we played them 38 times in the nineties and they won 7.

No Blue Peter Badge for the Hobos methinks!
