I remember that thread that you've referred to CH, and I think you've made some really good points in the final post on that thread. Generally, I don't have a problem with MOBO at all - I love a lot of different styles and genres of music, and most of the stuff that really does it for me happens to be... well, music of black origin!! I may be going off on a bit of a tangent here, but I think that a lot of the type of material I'm talking about just has a feeling within it, a very strong feeling that I sometimes think comes from a rebellion, if you like, against the oppression suffered by the ***** race, most notably in America - the way I see it, the MOBO awards are to some extent a celebration of this rebellion, and I'm all for it! Just had some white chump presenting trying oh so hard to be 'sorta black'. Comes on and says 'Whatsup'... Cringeworthy. Then you have the black presenters like Mel B who appear to be trying desperately to be 'superblack' with posturing that just doesn't seem natural. The whole show just seems wrong. BTW Alicia Keys.
