New age of ...... communism / facism

By the end of the year we may have a situation where the government controls almost all capital flows in this country, where a third of the populus works for it and we will be paying at least 50% of wages toward it. We will also have our movements monitored using CCTV, all transactions monitored and all travel monitored (those new speed cameras ain't for catching speeding drivers). If this ain't some form of state controlled communism or facism then what is.

The only way round it will be to A) wear a hoddie, B) pay by cash and C) buy a bike.

The only question is if we are to get on in this new world order is who do you side with - left or right. If you want a mortgage or a job in the future you may have to make the right choice.

So lets be having it if pushed are you A) A brown shirt or B) A red?

Scared by the choice - it may be not far away.

Don't like either. However there definitely is something afoot. This whole thing is far too 'organised'.

I agree with what you say about state control though. They will soon be able to track pretty much everything & everyone.

The whole 'war on terror' was very convenient for this.

The whole 'credit crisis' was very convenient for this.

Everything is just too 'convenient'.

The most interesting aspect I find is that the general public seem totally unfazed by this. Years and years of dumbing down has resulted in a simple acceptance of everything our 'leaders' do.

State control - sums it up nicely. The tools are there - it's just a case of when Cameron goes is going to be a facist or communist government that takes the reigns. I fear this for my children more than any economic collapse. To hell with it why not just chip us at birth like animals - it would get rid of any pretence.

Check out the Chancellors marxist credentials too.....the OP could be on to something.

Fascism is not an economic ideology, unlike communism.

So, if anything were to benefit from the failure of capitalism at the moment I would suggest communism, or more correctly socialism firstly, would offer a genuine alternative.

There will be no choices in the future, eveyone will be too dumb or scared to make them.

Unless it is which generic, yet suitably individual, consumer durable the individual is told they "need".

You are spot on M.

I see it already EVERYWHERE and it'll only get worse. Ignorance is spreading like the plague. Hardly anyone actually thinks through their actions and motivations, they just follow what is suggested to them. It's not by accident either, it's a concerted effort to make the current and future generations as thick as mince, subservients living in a state of ignorant bliss. Our sense of culture and identity is being culled and we're now a plastic wasteland full of starbucks, celebrities and shiny things.

Puts me in mind of that song from a few years back - Zombie nation
