Jimmy McNulty
Listening to Hipsway right now. Excellent album. Saw GUN win a battle of the bands at the music box on Victoria Street back in the mid-1980s....
269miles
what ever became of Bilbo Baggins from the mid 70s? I was thinking about BB when I saw the thread title. IIRC they did sell a lot of records (more than enough to get in the charts at the time) but because they were very 'local' sales these were not counted ie the music industry took record sales from a very narrow choice of outlets that didn't reflect what was happening outside of London. Hence the resaon why the charts fell into disrepute eventually and we ended up with Indie charts etc., etc
juanjoboyo
I remember The Needles when they were based out of Aberdeen. They always seemed destined to go no where. There's a reason for that. They were sh*t.
cosanostra
There's a reason for that. They were sh*t. I saw them in the Halt Bar in Glasgow a few years ago. They were indeed ****.

Narrative Arc
Teenage Fanclub have made 9 albums That counts as making it in my book I agree.(teenage fan club have definately made it..the best scottish band by far.) though if it's the amount of albums that count, the fall must be one of the biggest bands in the world.
