Makween
Tennents tastes exactly like what would happen if you got some muddy water, put it in a bucket and dipped your foot in it for a couple of hours. Strangely, I don't mind it.
lofer12
Not good examples mate!!! Coopers Pale Ale/James Boags are superb! They don't even sell Fosters in Oz! Was in S. Australia for a month earlier this year and Coopers Pale and Coopers Lager are indeed the muts nuts. Can get it in specialist Off Licence in Portobello High Street
moonraker
I too remember Tuborg from around the 70's I think. It was crap. Harp was also crap. I also remember Skol Lager was crap. Went to Rio on Holiday last year and it turn out Skol is one of the best sellers there. This time round it was marvellous. Maybe Tuborg will have a similar reniassance. Had a can of Skol once because of the advertisement in the corners of Tannadice. It was as you said crap. Use to like a can of Breaker and quite like the odd can of Red Stripe now.Not a big beer or lager drinker anyway.
ecjambo
Tennents is so poor. If its the only beer on tap i normally go for a bottle of something, I find it that bad. Eastern Europe beers are the business. Tyskie or Lech from Poland are really good or Dreher from Budapest is a favourite of mine too. The memories of travelling round Europe are coming back to me! i8hibsh
Just had my first drink of tennents for a couple of years and its still as bad as its always been, the whole thing just tastes like watered down dregs of a lager. Truly disgusting stuff. While we are on the subject of beer, i am absolutely loving a danish beer called Tuborg which seems to be popping up more and more round bars and pubs, top stuff. I believe its part of the Carlsberg group. Anyone else loving Tuborg/Hating Tennents? Tennent's = weegie tramps p*sh

spud
Who remembers their advert of about 15 years ago with Big Country and the guy strolling around Scotland? Fantastic. Its on youtube but the sound is really rank.
Darren
I can think of few things worse than a can of warm Tennents. Got to agree with a poster above, I struggle to think of superior lager alternatives to Okocim, it's superb.
