marshallschunkychicken
Have I been living under a rock? I didn't even know he had been missing for a year. How the hell did that one pass me by? Anyway, who thinks he faked it? Wouldn't say so myself.

Well if he has faked it, he's certainly gone to a lot of effort. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/3125782/Body-parts-found-in-wreckage-of-Steve-Fossetts-plane.html

Gabriel
The fact that the authorities announced discovering mere fragments of bones will add grist to the conspiracy theorists' mill, regardless of how nature, in all its forms, consumes a corpse. Sharpie
I doubt he has faked it but for such an experienced pilot and the extent of the damage a person might consider that for some reason he may have wanted to depart this life, there again it may just have been a routine accidental plane crash. It is also not unusual in this type of terrain for very little of a body to be left after a year. There are lots of predatory and scavenging animals around.
