i8hibsh
I think Miko is the top scorer in our squad, but has anyone got a comprehensive list of all the wage thieves......... sorry I mean 'players' in our squad with the total number of games played for the club and goals scored? I think it would be VERY interesting. I wonder how it compares to other squads? I don't think Miko or Driver have 10 goals. So not one player in double figures! Is this the worst record in WORLD football? Thanks in advance And just to keep people happy.............. The fact that Robbie Neilson doesn't score very often is hardly news but when you see the numbers of appearances laid out you see that most of them have yet to play in their 50th games for Hearts Neilson : 222 Berra : 126 Mikoliunas : 115 Wallace : 86 Cesnauskis : 75 Zaliukas : 65 Stewart : 57 Driver : 55 Aguiar : 45 Karipidis : 42 Jonsson : 40 Kingston : 38 Palazuelos : 36 Nade : 32 Ksanavicius : 31 Mole : 27 Makela : 20 Glen : 7 It reminds you of how young and inexperienced this squad is. I can't sleep at night and I am becoming the world most miserable person as I fear for my club EVERY day. Have a look at those stats. Consider it the cold light of day............it is shocking! Neilson 1 goal every 111 games - there are some goalkeepers with a better ratio Our defence has almost 500 appearances and 9 goals!!!!!!!!!!!! Defenders are never prolific but you expect them to head the odd one in now and again from a set piece. Our midfield is about 300 appearances and 25 goals - midfield FFS!!!!! Now here is the the shiniest gem of them all - strike rate Makela 5 goals (3 of which was a hat trick against a 2nd div team). Makela (not including substitute appearances) has played 20 times and scored in 3 games. He is a centre forward. I'd rather have Mole from Wind in the feckin willows than him! I laughed and joked when the Hobos bought colin Nish. I would take him in a second over the shower we have. Crappa Lazzlo sticks with him Nade - er nuff said Audrey - I'd rather have audrey Hepburn up front I know the usual tree huggers on here will put a positive spin on those stats. If you do shame on you Firstly, calling people losers because they don't share your opinion is pretty off, IMO. Secondly, it's not a case of "putting a positive spin" on anything, merely a case of trying to see the least worst scenario in what we currently have, which I personally would rather do - great alternative to reaching for the JD and the razor blades. If you honestly expected a new manager to come in and transform the team instantly and on a shoestring, you obviously had much higher hopes than many of the rest of us.
