There's lots of free on-street parking near the ground (10 minutes walk), if you're there early enough. Trains go from Central Station and are frequent. Also there is parking in Mitchell Street and Oswald Street car parks close to the station. The downside of that is you'll be travelling with a lot of unwashed Rangers fans and might have to join a long queue to get the train back. My personal choice is to take the car and park it near the ground. I've always done this in the past and never had a problem. A tip for getting to Hampden. Ignore the direct route - keep going over the Kingston Bridge and take the M77 to junction 2 and turn left there. You'll come in from the south side and the traffic will be a lot lighter.
