hmfcdoug
Seems he has been at Hearts for AGES yet has never really threatened the first team. Seemingly was a promising striker, however has been on numberous loans recently I think.

Alan_R
Trawling through some old threads as not much going on. What ever happened to this lad? I guess as a club we're not alone in this sort of thing but seems we need to be more astute at getting the best out of our youngster or spotting when they won't make the grade and getting rid. (i.e Jamie Mole) More so now thats there is no reserves. Its the harsh reality.
jambodale
according to wikipedia hes currently on loan to albion rovers, also on the official third division site it says hes came on as a sub once this season http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/player/dennis-mclauchlin/444864/ pretty sure he used to be an amazing talent in football manager 2008, such a shame hes not like that in reality

dkmmgcycbwc
Played on loan for Cowdenbeath and scored a hat trick (maybe 4) in one game. Not going to make it at any real level obviously.
Footballfirst
He played in Hearts youth side that won the Milk Cup in 2004, alongside Calum Elliot and Andy Driver. Here is a link to a Youtube video of the final on the HYDC site. Watch for Denis scoring a great goal at the start of the 2nd half. http://www.hydc.co.u...final_2004.html
Alan_R
thanks lads. My point was really more about getting the youngsters shaped up or shipped out though. Easier send than done I know but we seem to have alot of 'hangers on' in recent seasons.

Here is a link to a Youtube video of the final on the HYDC site. Watch for Denis scoring a great goal at the start of the 2nd half. http://www.hydc.co.u...final_2004.html There is a lot of luck involved. Both McGlaughlin and Elliot were better than Steven Fletcher at that stage. Elliot looks class act in the video (although the supply wasnt shabby ). The opposition detracts from the overall story. Belvadere were a good Irish side.BTW Hearts beat Man Utd 1-0 on the way to the final. www.hydc.co.uk/milk_cup_final_2004.html"]http://www.hydc.co.u...final_2004.html
