Hearts have bolstered their squad with the signing of young Lithuanian striker Arvydas Novikovas. Novikovas, who represented Lithuania Under 21s at the age of just 16, has signed a permanent deal at Tynecastle after arriving from FC Vilnius. Portuguese giants Benfica were also reported to be interested in securing his services, but the talented teenager has opted to join Csaba Laszlo's SPL outfit. Tynecastle fans will have to wait until the New Year to see Novikovas in action, as he is currently sidelined by injury and is not expected to be fit until January.
