Placid Casual
Can anyone recommend any decent pubs near Hampden? Preferably one which is likely to be full of our own fans...would be good to have a bevvy and a singsong before the game...
Jambo Hoggie
The Montford bar near the east stand (depends where our fans are situated)

Kenny, Avoid The Brazen Head on Cathcart Road. It is not painted green and white purely because that was the only colours B & Q had left, there is a good reason. Sorry, had to remove the picture, it was making me ill.
winchester 73
I've been to the Clockwork Beer Factory many times, good atmosphere etc... I dont think you will get in. My advice would be to avoid the pubs in Battlefield and Mount Florida. It's going to be jumping with Rangers fans. These pubs are fine when we play anyone else but the Gers. There are a couple in Kings park that are ok. The Montford and the International bar have been mentioned and there is also the Beechwood [might be a John Barras now] and the Spur. The Mire recentley burnt down but these mentioned will be a helluva lot user friendly this Wednesday IMHO. Good luck, stay safe.

SectionDJambo
The 100 Acres, further down Montford Road. Unless the name is changed from the last visit.TBH I never checked the name at the Gretna match, just happy to get in. Usually OK in there and it's at the opposite end for Rangers fans. netherleejambo
The Boswell in Langside Drive usually has a couple of jambo buses- at the huns end so allow at least 20 mins to the tims end. Clockwork is great (my local) but need to get in early!
northernjambo
Clockwork is probably one of the best pubs in the area. my old local. Their own ales are the Muts nuts:confused: and there is always a big selection of guest ales, and bottled beers for the ladies!
