Rush usually has something on every day of the week. I think Monday must be the least student friendly night in Edinburgh.
Dr Ian Malcolm
Trade Union is every Monday at Cab Vol. Only been once mind, and it was empty.

Only suggestion I've really had is 'Why Not?', been told its a bit cr*p though.

Not sure about Why Not? but Shanghai is extortionate for drink.

Boaby Ewing
If it's Fresher's week then Cowgate or Teviot/Potterrow is probably a good bet, though the latter two will need student ID I'd imagine (not sure if it has to be Edi Uni ID). So if you want to go there, i can get you and your group cheap entry and que jump. ?1.50 bottle of miller, 2.50 double vodka red bull Its quite cool on mondays, mix the music with the visuals, pretty smart. Wednesdays it is usually packed but Mondays usually get a good turn out. As you say, i recon as its freshers week it should be pretty busy. Walter Payton
is that the nuts pokerleague? I've played a couple of times at the tic in stockbridge on a tuesday? how's the monday night one? yeah it's the Nuts- to be honest I was saying to someone tonight I don't think there's as many good players on the monday as there used to be but there's still a reasonable game to be had with some good players. IMO Diane's used to be the best venue with the most decent players, it's probably more in line with the other venues now. Should probably get a field of about 25-30. Medico
Decided to go to Why Not? but was full by the time we got there so ended up at Shanghai in the end. Good night, would recommend it, although it was too busy, too hot (seemed like the air con was blowing hot air) & there was loads of broken glass on the floor. Darren
Half-price bevvy in Espionage on a Monday night, pity it's mince. I reckon I know just about every cheap night going in Edinburgh if nothing much has changed in the last few months. I miss being a student...
