That gig clashed with the opening game of last season, which got switched to the monday at the last minute. I made the right choice and went to the gig. Mark Lanegan is one of the best vocalists in rock music with a very distinct voice, and he is complemented well by Isobel Campbell and the backing band. At the Liquid Rooms they played a few solo songs from Mark Lanegan as well, such as Wedding Dress and I'll Take Care Of You but were trying out material for the forthcoming second album. Their second album is getting a U.S. release in November with 5 bonus tracks. Anyone know of a good site to buy albums on import from the US? nme article Wouldn't mind finding out the setlist of the liquid rooms gig last year as I am sure some of the "new songs" played that night never made the album.
