Cairneyhill Jambo
Having my 40th soon and I'm looking for ideas for the buffet, something other than sandwiches and sausages rolls. Any suggestions ? A big pot of stovies, Pizza, and big pots of chilli and rice with tortilla chips Superb for soaking up the booze and no messing about with poncey food. Or you could just get some Bombay Bad Boy pot noodles.
Tynie b
Greggs Sausage Roll and Pies...Buffets are Gay, and you're always left with Loads...A buffet should lie, NO LONGER, than 90mins at room Temperature...You CAN'T Refrigerate once it's been sitting in the room...NEVER Eat at Buffets!! That rough feeling next day is not a hangover, it's the start of Salmonela or Stapholacocis...You have been warned... Enjoy your Party...

DikT.
Stibk buffet food. Drinking food or fork food as I call it is defo better. Stovies, or corned beef hash something like that. Cheap, cheerful and luverly. And as someone said less chance of the old salmonella or staph the next day. (well, staph in a couple of hours usually actually but you know what I mean)

I P Knightley
McCain's Smiley Faces. Have 'em plain or decorate them with olives for the eyes, pepper or carrot coming out the mouth... the list is virtually endless. I actually saw them in a buffet at a conference hosted by the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance in Kiev with all sorts of dignitaries (and me). There among all the fancy tasties & local delicacies, things on sticks and things on toast was a tray of Smiley Faces, neatly arranged so they were all the same way up and a salad garnish around the tray. Weird as fff...
