Now, I'm living in a flat at the moment and the lease is up on the 31st August 2009, so effectively if I stay for that long I will have no T.V for a month! ...unless I pay of course! Does anyone know how long the T.V License people give you to renew? I was maybe thinking I could get away with not paying for 1 or 2 weeks, then taking my Tv to a friends and tell them I don't have a Tv? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BigC Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 Me and my brother usually wait about 6 months before renewing. That's normally how long it takes for the letters to start coming thick and fast. If you renew it under the same name they backdate it to start when you should have renewed, so we just put a different name on it each year (me one year, him the next) that way you don't get stung for the 6 months in between that you haven't paid for.
