db2000 Posted September 2, 2008 Share Posted September 2, 2008 Hey, Got a desktop running xp and a new laptop running vista. Set up the wireless network no problems, so got wireless internet on laptop, looking to find out if it's possible to access desktop files from the laptop. Tryed to set up a workgroup, can see the laptop on the desktop, but cant access it. Cant see the desktop from the laptop at all. Any advice or direction to a useful tutorial would be appreaciated. N User Posted September 2, 2008 Share Posted September 2, 2008 workgroup from both computers same name allow sharing across network Choose a folder and allow sharing on it (on each comp) restart both machines and have a play.
