Just as we didn't sign a goalscorer the Hobo's didn't sign a much needed safe & reliable goalkeeper so they have to make do with McNeill, Makalamby & Grof. :cheerful:

But they did sign a goalscorer.

They've also conceded less goals than us so far.

They've also conceded more points DH despite having played the mighty Kilmarnock, Falkirk, Inverness & Motherwell.......not forgetting Elfsborgs & Morton cup defeats.

Our points have been won against St Mirren, Motherwell and Hamilton Accies. And we were beaten by Airdrie. Not a horrific start but nothing to get carried away with especially as all 3 wins were scraped by a goal and could easily have gone the other way.

And still a really poor defence and bomb scare keepers. They're putting an awful lot of store in the messiah returning.

But now they have a goalscorer.

They already had a Scotland International striker on their books who is their most valuable player....the point is goalkeeping has been a sore point for at least 3 seasons costing them umpteen points and they still haven't solved that problem......they conceded 4 against Morton last week including 2 goalkeeping errors, all 3 keepers have made errors costing them bad goals this season.

No more pressure than we would have put on any new striker.

Steven Fletcher isn't really a goalscorer.

Would you agree that Hibs need for a decent goalkeeper was greater than their need for Derek Riordan and in comparative terms greater than our need for a proven goalscorer?

How many goals has he actually scored in the last 2 seasons, not many IMO.

You are getting obsessed about Ratboy and making him out to be some kind of messiah to them.

Get over it he is a average striker now with a poorer side than he when he left.

Motherwell, St Mirren and Hamilton, Csaba stated that we missed chances and it could have cost us.

I look forward (well not really) to him moaning like the rest of us when we are not taking the amount of chances we should be in the coming months.

A glaring nick in the Hearts armour has not been sorted.

Have you see Tullberg play ?, wait and see what he produces.

Not too long until January if required.

You are right, Hans - however his previous record would suggest that he does not hit the net on a regular basis - guess he will be judged on how many chances that he creates.

Not conviced even with Tullberg holding the ball up top that we have the players to hit the net on a regular basis.

If you look at the last three game we have created lots of chances however the final pass has not realy been too good, how many times has a ball from a wide player been behind someone instead of a striker or central midfield player running on to it.

Most of the time IMO.
