All this wet weather has resulted in loads of mushrooms growing in my garden.

The wife has made a stew for tea tonight and i was wondering if it was safe to add the mushrooms, could make it taste magic?

You need to know what you're doing - it's a dangerous old business. Personally I spent much of last week feasting on fresh chanterelles from the Rothiemurchus Forest, but only after excluding any possible confusion with poisonous lookalikes.

Best to let your wife try them first,if after about 30 mins she isnt throwing up or out her face it should be okay for you to try them:)

A shed load of salt, and whilst you're in the shed get your garden fork to burst the bagpipes with.
