Colonel Kurtz
At the moment,it would seem that young jamie away with Scotland will be the only one getting any coaching. When he returns we will have a youngster who has played one game for Hearts and a new import from Kaunus who has played none. In the run up to saturdays match there will be NO goalkeeping coach What a shambles I hear Copil has been asked to fill the gap temporarily until the FEE (faceless Eastern european) graduates from SMERSH school

John Findlay
How much coaching can you coach a goalkeeper? If an alleged goalie cant catch and hold a ball at 9 then at 19. What makes you think he will be able to do it at 29 or 39. Who was Jim Cruikshank's goalkeeping coach? I don't know either but I will argue that he is still the most skilled goalkeeper I have personally seen in a Hearts jersey. John

JamboRobbo With all those goalkeeping coaches then every game should end 0-0. All goalkeepers would be the dogs bollocks. John

Ryan Gosling
Goalie training is easy. You put a goal behind you, go up close to a wall, kick it against the wall and try to save it when it bounces back.

Or something out of a Madofeev Coaching manual - only he'd want you to do it with 3 balls at once.
Jammy T
Actually we should do away with coaches al"together" then.... I mean, a striker can either put the ball in the onion bag or he cant. And if a defender cannae heid the baw away from a corner hell mend him

He actually had them do it blindfolded, with their arms tied behind their backs, and rugby balls instead of footballs.

If they can't produce the goods after they've been kicking a ball around since they were young kids, they're not going to learn much from a past-it geezer in a tracksuit, are they? I think Vlad's miles ahead of you, though. He's been implementing this policy for a good couple of seasons now. He's also done away with other outdated practices such as having a manager and selecting your strongest team. When oh when will the other clubs catch up with contemporary thinking on football management?
