Jamie_the_Jambo
Hi guys. I am trying to burn a DVD using nero (have also used another burner) but it keeps failing when writing the lead in. The disc is then useless after that. I bought a spindle of 50 cheapy discs (DVD-R) and these all work but now Im using Infiniti DVD-R discs and they all fail as above. Any ideas of something I can do ? Jamie
Jamie_the_Jambo
Has no one had problems with burning DVDs ? The disc is the problem here not the burner. Someone must have an inkling ? Thanks Jamie
N User
restart and try again? If it burns other discs but not these ones, then it probably is the discs.
this_is_my_story
At the risk of overstating the obvious - buy more of the discs that worked for you before?

Anyone know why this might be happening and how to solve it.
this_is_my_story
Thanks that just leaves 44 discs for the bin. Maybe try another couple of brands other than the ones that worked for you, and if they work - return the most recently bought discs and ask for a refund then... Not out of the question that it could be a faulty batch of discs. Used Sony dvd-r's for a while, never had a problem with them.
Rick Grimes
best disks to use are Verbatim, cheap & very, very good. as for your problem, have you tried burning a different file to see if that works? also, you're not trying to overburn are you? I can burn differnet files. The overburn crossed my mind but its not that either. Not a faulty batch either as its 5 differnet spindles of 10. The are lightscribe discs so Ive opened them all to sort out the colours. Doh ! Go tot get to the bottom of this....

Jambojohnnyboy
Are you sure that it isn't a burner issue? You say it's not so am assuming it's a relatively new burner?
Flux
Is the device a DVD burner, sure it wasn't just a CD Burner?
