sjh1874 Posted August 17, 2008 Share Posted August 17, 2008 Just viewed yesterdays highlights on the beeb. Fuming!! Thats two weeks in a row Lithuanians have been booked for diving. Audrey's was bang on, Miko's not so clear. As Audrey's was in the box and he was trying to win a penalty no real complaints. Miko's was in the middle of the park and there WAS minimal contact. However the main beef is that during both these fixtures two good honest Scottish lads also took a tumble, Clarkson and Broadfoot. Nothing done? So come on Gordon grow some nads and address the issue here. If your intention is to stamp out the divers make sure that the rules are not subject to Xenophobia from your ill advised Refs. Miko was a bit of an erse but Dougal had one thing only on his mind as soon as he came on...revenge for Davisgate and the Scotland game. Let me say right away that Hearts are not good enough at the moment to go to Ibrox and turn them over - but having just watched Broadfoots shocking dive and he wins a free kick, then a foul given against Berra on Boyd when Boyd was doing the pulling, well what chance do you have. Even if we matched rangers all over the park,the odds are stacked against us given the treatment we get from refs. As terrible as it sounds all we can hope for is to play the old firm when they are having a bad day and take a win every dozen games or so. Our season doesnt depend on wins V the old firm,its all about how we do against the rest of the league. We dont have the fanbase to compete with the top 2,and Romanov is a businessman who knows that if he spent a fortune he could possibly buy the title,but then what,the gap between us and champions league football is immense. The guy quite obviously got his job on the strength that he's more than willing to sup OF length at the drop of a hat. To think that he isn't aware of the situation would be naive. He's a vapid weasel of a man, and unfortunately, unless UEFA get clued up as to the pahetic state of our league, he'll probably be there for a long time.
