joe kickass2
Both Russia and Georgia are democracies, though not as we know it. Apart from UK vs. Finland 1941, there hasn't ever been a war between democracies (depending on how you interpret war or democracy i.e. what about the American civil war?). Does that open the floodgates and who would be your war of choice?

Ray Winstone
UK v. Finland? I think perhaps he is refering to when Finland was added to the axis powers. As a general rule countries with McDonalds in them dont go to war against each other. I suppose this is the exception that proves the rule. joe kickass2
UK v. Finland? Finland declared war on the Soviet Union, who were our allies, and so a state of war existed between UK and Finland.

cosanostra
Yeah, why not. I don't really want any countries to go to war. Loads of people, innocent people would die. Ibrahim Tall
Lots of things are common knowledge but there must be evidence that we declared war on Finland if it happened. Link During the 1941-44 Continuation War, Finland collaborated with Germany against the aggression of the Soviet Union. This led, reluctantly on both sides, to the severance of diplomatic relations when Britain declared war on Finland on 6 December 1941. However, no hostilities ever took place. "Well I've started wearing make-up, talking bollocks and I can't park the car!" And i think i know why your so grumpy, try evening primrose oil. The Doctor
I'd just like to ask a couple of questions along the same lines as the OP, sorry to hijack your thread Jolene. What's everyone's favourite natural disaster? Hurricane Katrina, showed the US up for the uncaring hypocrisy it is. The Tsunami of boxing day 2004 is a close second though. Drama, death and devastation, not to mention a very good David Beckham/Newcastle joke. also Which limb would you most like to have amputated? You might as well take both my legs as one, one is no use, I'd be happier in a chair than with a prosthetic. and finally What has been your favourite historical pandemic? Bubonic Plague was a beauty. Buboes is such an evocative word and anything carried by rats is going to make your skin crawl. To answer the OP's question, I would mind us taking a shot at Belgium, I have no idea where Belgium is, what it does or why it exists. What's the point of Belgium?
