moz
I take it your machine does not have speakers and a Mic built in..?? Luckily enough my laptop has them and a webcam built in so I can use it wherever I go without lifting any extra kit...... Great piece of software, couldn't do without it now.........company phone bills have went right down since we discovered it..!!

mac
No, Moz, my pc does not have a mic, but has speakers - I now realize I'll need to get a webcam thingy as well!
jambovambo
Going to have to explain that one to me buddy....... It means it takes up a lot of your PC's processing power.
Rab
Pros - dead easy to use. Con (tho' I haven't used it for ages) - it seemed a bit "resource-hungry" ... Agreed on both points. It's got to the point where, although I use it a lot, I load it for a scheduled call, then kill it when I'm finished.
The Vulture
Agree with Moz, only downside of it is that it may randomly cut out but overall it's magic.
Darren
VoIP is an interesting technology and great for small businesses in particular to save some money, particularly multi-site organisations. However, I find the voice quality still needs improved before it can seriously challenge traditional telephony.
