Tazio
It would be more entertaining if they played about 4 different tracks at the same time so you got a different style of music depending on your choice of headphones.

Boaby Ewing
Nah, I've not been - I don't have a problem with it, just don't really see the appeal. One of the best things about a club is when everyone gets into the same song... what's the point in having half the folk listening to something totally different. And what do you do when you want to talk to your mates?
200milesfromgorgie
Whats it go to do with students? joking aside..... oh well here goes The concept is generating great response from its audiences and demand is stretching beyond the festival scene. Silent discos are popping up in all manner of venues across the globe. The silent disco concept seems to be very much a favourite amongst the student population with a wide number of student unions hosting events on regular occasions. Venues all over are continually attempting to offer their audiences new and exciting events, and the silent disco is proving to be amongst the most popular in this genre. you've benn wiki wiki wild wild wested! And what do you do when you want to talk to your mates? How easy is it to speak to your mates when the music up pumping out at a decent level of decibels? I would think that it's easier to speak to your mates at a silent disco - a tap on the shoulder and off with the headphones or even just one ear and you will hear each other perfectly, in fact, much easier than a 'conventional' disco. Medico
T in the Park ?10 for crap! Did you not get the tenner back? If you gave the headphones back you were meant to, in which case you paid nothing for crap. I guess everyone likes different things anyway so not everyone's going to like it. Would no doubt get boring if you went all the time, but its a good laugh and something different to do. Really funny taking the headphones off and listening to everyone singing too, especially when people don't know all the words

chester copperpot
I must be getting old. I heard them talk about this on the radio this morning and I was like WTF is that all about. I guess its one of those things you need to experience before actually commenting on. Not that I plan to mind. I look like enough of a knob when I dance without doing it in total silence. ruuudi
Loved it at TiTP 3 years ago, 2 channels to choose, headphones worked well. Opted to finish up there rather than watch The Who. Last year was a bit rubbish as only one channel and signal kept cutting out This year, couldn't even get to it as it was in the campsite. Grrrr. Don't knock it till you've tried it, looked weird when I first saw it but I love it
