Dr. Bapswent
Who would win then? Do we really see Kaunas as a B team? They humbled Rangers over 2 legs. How often do we do that? I would not be confident of our team beating theirs. What would the result be if we played them then....

Dirk Diggler
I never seen Mendy play at Right back but tonight in a holding Midfield role I thought he put in a great shift.

I am not sure if them beating Rangers is a good result for us, after all it starts to justify the introduction of the "Liths"! And to put it into context Pillowbiter scores the winner, you couldn't make it up...... However, how have Kaunus managed to organise themselves into an effective unit, when we have been a shambles with the same owner??
hughesie27
I've thought for ages that they are the better team. We jsut seem to get their drivel, which is understandable.

He was a very poor mans Brellier imo.

Jam Tarts 1874
As things look just now, 0-0 would seem like the most likely outcome.
The Mighty Thor
A jeffries or Levein Hearts team would beat Kaunas. Burley's team would beat Kaunas. Since then and the gradual degredation of the playing style and personnel then i doubt we would beat Kaunas. Says more about the style and quality of football we have been playing for the last 3 years (jury's out on Csaba) than it does about the quality of Kaunas, who in real terms are not a great side. From last night's match I would not take that Kaunas are now world beaters, they beat a p i s s poor Rangers, totally p i s s poor, without having to do much themselves. We have played much better than that against Rangers and lost, we have played poorly against Rangers and won, that is how football often works. In a friendly match they may have a chance against us, may even beat us, as in recent friendly games, in a competitive match I would expect HMFC to shaft them big style.
