The real reason they were knocked back by the SFA for league membership was because they had the cheek to ignore another SFA cover up and use political pressure and eventually provoked the CPS to take

legal action to protect their player who was racially abused.

The case was resolved last week.

Welldone to Spartans and shame on the SFA...yet again.

Drylaw Hearts

I thought the real reason they were KB'd was because their Stadium will not be ready in time and they told the SFL they would be using Meadowbank until it was ready.

Only problem is they didn't ask for permission to use Meadowbank.

Edinburgh City have a long term lease on Meadowbank.

Utter pish of the highest order, they didn't get enough votes, pure and simple.

Just the same as Preston, didn't get enough votes, although Spartans did actualy get votes.

that and the other league teams didn't want to appoint someone that would be a real challenge to them.

Nonsense. That sounds like just the latest in a number of excuses coming out of City Park at the moment.

Well done to Spartans for standing up for their player - but that wasn't the reason so few clubs (NB clubs, not the GFA) voted for them.
