I'm arranging a night out for my work and am trying to find a restaurant that has a varied menu as half the people wont eat Indian and the other half wont eat Chinese and a few of them wont eat Italian.

Does anyone know of any good restaurants in the High Street, Grassmarket area that caters for different tastes?

The Mussel and Steak house at the bottom of Victoria Street?

Hardly michelin star but it's fits the bill.

So you looking for decent pub/restaurant that doesn't specialise in one kind of food.

Pretty tough doon that way IMO, unless you like pub food. Cheap and decent quality normally down the Grassmarkey way.

jambos are go!

Merchants in Merchant Street down the hill from Greyfriars Bobby does a range of modern local food very well plus nice atmosphere. Good VFM too.

Howie's in Victoria Street. Hardly cutting edge cuisine, but everyone in your party will be guaranteed to find something they're happy with.

Some people are absolute freaks. Get them booked into the mosque takeaway for lunch and tell 'em to fak off if they get a bit wide.

"a few of them won't even eat italian."

who are these people? shocking!

I know, I've got a mate (ginger, hun... explains a lot) who doesn't like pizza.

Bizarre. Some people need a good slap.

Merchants is a good shout. Maison Bleu on Victoria Street is also pretty good-mixture of French/North African/Scottish. Don't know if that'll suit your picky bunch though...

La Petit Folie on Hanover St is the mutts nutts I must say! French restaurant with a cracking menu and really really top food! Would definitely be my reccommendation!
