Anybody recommend a camp site? Preferably close to a nice wee town with plenty of pubs and/or a distillery ;)

Any suggestions or favourite places to go?

Faskally. About a mile north of Pilochry. Advisable to pre-book though.

Great camp site with pub & pool.

Pitlochry has some decent pubs & places to eat. The chippy at Blair Atholl is immense.

Only draw back is having to put up with all the tories up there.

I've just bought all the stuff a month or so ago, am supposed to be going to Strathayre soon with Eddie Fenwick, his laddie and mine's. Been put on back burner due to us being so busy.

Its a fair treck but Gairloch is stunning, beautiful drive through national parks, the most stunning coastline I have seen.

(Im convert as well, never been camping before this year but my son loved it and so did i)

Come up here! Good camp site and more pubs than population. you could do Gairloch for a couple of days and Ullapool for a couple days. :)
