A misfiring forward line. A total rookie at right back that’s defensively weak, and is incapable of contributing to the forward play (but seems to be trusted with throw-ins & free-kicks, despite being unable to take decent throw-ins & free kicks). A midfield with no energy & carrying several passengers who disappear for huge portions of any match.        

Aberdeen must be licking their lips right now.

Must work on a team and shape with no Forrester, Spittal, Musa, Grant , Kartum starting - absolute championship levels from them all today. 

 

Ideally would like to see Beni, Devlin and Hoff in the middle and possibly look at some kind of back 3 with maybe Halkett, Kent or Kingsley in covering at RB and maybe a place for Vargas somewhere plus Elton & Wilson. 

 

Dont know how this works in reality but the diamond on that pitch with any of those players starting would fill me with pessimism before KO.
