Boris
Hearts players or not: Goram McLaren Gough Levein Numan Laudrup Gascoigne Di Canio Larssson McCoist Hately I'll give you most of those, but McCoist better than Robbo? Never imho. I'd put the Celtic era Mo Johnston above AMcC, or even a Paul Sturrock or Mark McGhee in their "New Firm" hey-days. Not saying McCoist was bad, just there were others who were as good if not better. Christ, even Brian McClair when at the Tims...
heartsfc_fan
I'm only 19 so probably can't remember seeing half that bunch play... However..Edwin Van Der Saar played in a pre-season friendly against us when he played for Fulham. Back in 2004 maybe... Good goalkeeper.

Boris
Fair dos. It's funny because I was going to mention the Miller/McLeish centre half partnership that was very good, but you are right as I think Levein was one of the best naturally gifted footballers we (Hearts & Scotland) have ever produced. iamcraigbeattie
Hans Eskilson, Darren Beckford, Rafael Scheidt to name a few. Ok thats clearly a joke. scott herbertson
Nobody's mentioned Brazil yet Ally Brazil But seriously some great players here. Jimmy Johnstone would certainly in my list as would Roy Aitken In terms of best performance ever Aitken, who by the way I hated with a vengeance, took one Hearts Celtic match by the scruff of the neck when they had a man sent off and he covered the whole park, winning corners, tackling, creating chances. They won of course, but only thanks to that smelly big git. Another nobody has mentioned is Andy Ritchie of Morton who was a fantastic player on his day and made a mockery of our midfield. I would also have Strachan in there and possibly Ralph (handbag) Milne, both of whom gave us really hard times.

bertracoon
Still no mention of Jean-Marc Boco I think he must be the only footballer to ever be knocked out in 2 conscutive games he played (I think), seem to remember him being melted by someone at Ibrox, and his first game back was us at Tynie where I think Stephane Adam smashed a free kick right into his puss and knocked him flat on his arse! Colonel Kurtz
Nobody has mentioned Stanley mathews, playing for Stoke. The best club display I have ever seen at Tynecastle was the Dundee team who beat us 7 1 and they cost us the league not Kilmarnock on the last game. Andy Penman was world class and Cameron scored 4 I think, they would have hammered anybody that day.
