Proof? Aye, he’s deliberately lost form and stopped scoring at the time he really needs to be doing the business to sell himself to potential suitors. 🤦‍♂️

it’s just stupidity mate - all we’ve done in the last 3 games is similar to what we did in the run of the European game that dhanda scored the Ross county game Aberdeen game st mirren game and omonia game

shankland played in all of these and had at least 2 assists and scored in one

he also didn’t play against Kilmarnock which was probably our feeblest performance of the season

I think it's all much simpler.

Shankland has lost confidence, I think starting from the Euros but accelerating massively when the goals didn't come as he'd have expected at the start of the season. I genuinely think he has been trying but things aren't coming off, he's coming deeper to get more involved and the service hasn't been great early in the season and this is having a detrimental effect on the team, hence improvements without him. I'm sure the contract stuff has a bit of an impact. He looks moody, but watch him last season, he was the same.

Kent, there's absolutely no evidence to back up any claims. Can only go on what you see. The guy gives 100% every game, never questioned his commitment once. Even if he did want down the road for personal reasons, it didn't impact his performances so why would he be a bad egg in the changing room.

Clark, same as Kent. I think less folk like him as his personality seems a bit more nippy, some will it and some won't. But he did well when he stepped up as was expected of Gordon's number two. No evidence he's causing unrest. Is he pissed he isn't playing? I hope so, why wouldn't you be. As long as you keep it professional.

McKay isn't good enough. He probably knows it. He probably wants away to play more regularly. None of this is unexpected. Can't see him being the influential type in the changing room anyway.

Fans never know the details. I've seen plenty of situations now where fans speculate on a variety of things then when we eventually find it out, it's not something guessed. We underestimate the personal, mental and family aspects and overestimate the footballing and group intrigue of football player's behaviour.

We’ve changed completely tactically. The shambles that was Kilmarnock could be cited as proof we are not better without him.

4-2-3-1 absolutely suits the personnel at the moment and I’m happy we’ve moved away from the ridiculously open 4-2-4 we saw in the derby. Too soon to say if we’ll continue in this vein. Aberdeen is massive. Win that, then I’ll start to believe

spot on - the proof is the last 3 games

on other threads the last 3 games (similar we’ve already done this season with shanks in the team) it’s all been down to boycie or critchely or now the analytics nullifying the other team - for the sake of debate I’ll throw grant into it given he played in most of the good run last season

we’ve also had the best squad since 2006 and also the worst - critchely was a player development genius and then no-one could motivate this bunch of downed-tool losers

plus the other tactical and personnel changes you’ve mentioned - but no it’s just the absence of shanks

There is no more substance to this thread than the Beni one. Interesting that they get such different responses. Some posters even highlighting that Kent hasn't said anything disruptive, which somehow ignores that the same is true for all the others - or did I miss interviews with Clark and McKay slagging off the club (Shankland has answered questions when asked in a fairly factual way). I'm always amazed by the number of fans who seem to believe they can read minds and have perfect insight into the inner workings of the club.

I honestly don't understand the Kent chat.

His performances this year have been poor but I don't think that's down to being a troublemaker or wanting away.

I suspect that Kent is actually the holiday destination rather than the name of the player.

Did Ian Black not suggest there were players who were disruptive. Apologies if that’s not right.

Yep I'm pretty sure that's right, was trying to remember who it was.

Don’t understand Clark taking flack either to be honest. He was solid for us all of last season with a hell of a lot more clean sheets than we’ll end up with this season.

With the number of games we have had this season so far I would go as far to say his game time has been a little unfair, particularly when you consider how had we have been for long spells of games.

Shankland and McKay’s body language on the park is a different matter.

It is evident Shankland really dislikes doing the hospitality interviews from the times I have been there and videos I have seen. As difficult as they must be after a defeat and when not in form, he is club captain and doesn’t paint himself in in a good light, particularly in comparison to his team mates.

After not signing the bumper contract, I hear Shanks is planning to save £££ on a simpler holiday this year: he's doing a staycation in the caravan he's been towing around since the summer.

Unless it was a different time, I think it was Dubai for someone’s wedding, others were there, Kingsley and Lowry were definitely there the time I’m thinking

There is nothing wrong with Clark being unhappy at being number 2 I think Gordon ( at least he got a bit of game time ) would have been the same last season. As you say he has went from Number 1 and in the Scotland squads to sitting on a bench every game and out the Scotland picture.Unfortnatley that's what happens as a keeper but he is quite within his own right to look elsewhere next season.

Think it’s mostly rumours especially with Kent but it’s kind of funny that 2 of the 4 are completely dropped and the other 2 injured and we actually start winning games. Wasn’t Lowry on holiday with them? Another one known to have poor attitude

Yes they definitely hatched an escape plan whilst on holday together. I like your thinking. Totally illogical, but I'd never have seen it myself...
